One of the saddest things about this one is that I know that it’s meant to be a tribute to my great wife, but I have no intention of ever marrying her. But as much as I’d like to live in some kind of perfect world where everything is 100% perfect with all its blessings and sorrows (when they’re not), I do like her enough to consider her a very special part of my life. As such, she holds a special place in my heart and has been through so many changes over the years that it just feels right for me now to write about how we spent our honeymoon together. It’s quite silly to say that a shirt is “perfect”, but the idea of wearing my favorite vegan-friendly tee has just been too good to ignore. And while we’re on the subject, I can’t keep trying to convince people that it was an accident; this shirt probably makes me look awesome! It’s all about being a good husband and wife. I never dreamt that I’d be marrying the perfect vegan wife, who cooks vegetables for me in her own kitchen and is really into cooking at home.
I never dreamed I’d end up marrying a veggie. But that’s what happened last summer when I asked her if she would marry me, and it happened pretty quickly. My wife is an amazing vegan who lives in the Midwest (she’s from Indiana) and has been raising kids since birth. She’s also completely obsessed with vegetarian cooking, which explains why we cook so much more than any other couple our age! Every year there are more of us wedding planning couples who have decided to do this thing called “veganism” than ever before but here was someone whose entire life was dedicated to trying to get a better life for everyone else. Everyone is still trying to figure out how they can be happy as a family while simultaneously being horrible parents/caregivers/housewives/etc… I never dreamed I’d end up marrying a perfect vegan wife. She’s been a vegan her whole life and she doesn’t deserve to be treated any differently than other women…
